A one-off registration fee per quiz (Year 5/6 & Year 7/8) per school covers all teams for all rounds.

Round 1 is usually completed at your own school and you can have as many teams as you like (for the one rego price). Some schools may travel to a host school for Round 2.  The host school determines how many teams they can accommodate.

2023 Quiz dates

Quiz Registration will open in term 2

Quiz Round 1 – Term 3 Weeks 3 to 9 – Monday, 24 July  to Friday, 8 September, 2023

Regions or individual schools run Round 1 whenever is convenient for them within these seven weeks.

Quiz Round 2 – Term 4 Weeks 1 to 2 – Tuesday, 3 October  to Friday, 13 October, 2023

State Finals – Term 4 Thursday 26th October Term 4

If you are unsure about finding a Quiz Centre near you to attend for Round 1 or 2, click on the pin and contact the region Quiz Convener using the details listed.  The convenor will put you directly in contact with the host school.  If there is no reply within a few days, please request us to follow up for you

All schools must register online even if they are attending a host school or centre. 

Only registered schools will receive the ‘official certificate templates’ for their students.  Host and registered stand alone Schools will receive further information on running the Quiz, the Quiz PowerPoint, Quiz files for printing, and, the ‘official certificate templates’ for their students.  All registered schools will receive copies of the quiz questions used for each round after the conclusion of the State Finals.
