Saturday 11 May 2024- Townsville Region Conference. 

Ignite your passion for mathematics education at the2024 Queensland Association of Mathematics Teachers (QAMT) State Conference (Townsville Satellite event), proudly hosted in partnership with James Cook University and held on Saturday 11th May at the James Cook University Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas, Science Place building.

Join fellow primary, secondary and pre-service teachers for an immersive experience designed to enrichr teaching practice through:

  • A range of presentations and workshops for primary, secondary and pre-service mathematics teachers to develop practical classroom resources,
  • In-person presentations from the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) around the new curriculum and assessment,
  • Learning about the Queensland Virtual STEM Academy and Maths Inquiry course from local educator and Keynote Speaker Wendy Bode (Thuringowa State High School) and her pioneering work in STEM education,
  • Opportunities to network with your colleagues and gain valuable insights to transform your students’ maths learning,
  • Live access to the QAMT State Conference Brisbane Virtual Day and resourceslater in the year.
