A one-off registration fee per quiz (Year 5/6 & 7/8) per school covers all teams for all rounds.

Most schools complete Round 1 at their own school and have as many teams as they like for the one rego price. Some schools may travel to a host school for Round 1 & 2.  The host school determines how many teams they can accommodate. To be eligible for host school registration prices, the host school must have at least one other school confirmed and attending the host school venue.

2024 Quiz dates

Registration Opens : Monday, 13 May, 2024 (Week 5 of Term 2)

Registration Closes : Friday, 13 September, 2024 (Week 10 of Term 3)

Quiz Round 1 – Monday, 22 July to Friday, 13 September, 2024

(Weeks 3 to 10 of Term 3)

Regions or individual schools run Round 1 whenever it is convenient

for them within these eight weeks.

Quiz Round 2 – Monday, 30 September to Friday, 11 October, 2024

(Weeks 1 & 2 of Term 4)

State Finals – Thursday, 31 October, 2024

(Term 4, Week 5)

If you are unsure about finding a Quiz Centre near you to attend for Round 1 or 2, click on the pin and contact the region Quiz Convener using the details listed.  The convenor will put you directly in contact with the host school.  If there is no reply within a few days, please request us to follow up for you

All schools must register online even if they are attending a host school or centre. 

Only registered schools will receive the ‘official certificate templates’ for their students.  Host and registered stand alone Schools will receive further information on running the Quiz, the Quiz PowerPoint, Quiz files for printing, and, the ‘official certificate templates’ for their students.  All registered schools will receive copies of the quiz questions used for each round after the conclusion of the State Finals.
